Legal

Terms of Service

These terms govern your download and use of Golems Launcher, also displayed as GolemsClient (the “Launcher”), provided by LT1_Golem (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]  ·  Last updated: [LAST UPDATED DATE]

1. Agreement to these terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Launcher, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Launcher.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement in your location. If you are under the age of legal majority, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms for you. You are responsible for complying with the age rules of Microsoft, Xbox, Minecraft, Discord, and any other service you use through the Launcher.

3. License and permitted use

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Launcher for lawful personal use. You may not:

  • use the Launcher to violate law, infringe rights, distribute malware, attack services, or bypass security controls;
  • misrepresent your identity, impersonate others, or use another person’s credentials without permission;
  • sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Launcher unless we give written permission; or
  • remove ownership notices or use our branding in a way that suggests an unauthorised endorsement.

Rights granted by any open-source license included with the Launcher remain governed by that license.

4. Accounts and Minecraft ownership

The Launcher may support Microsoft-authenticated accounts and local/offline accounts. You are responsible for your account security, account activity, and the accuracy of information you enter.

A local/offline account does not provide a Minecraft license, authenticate ownership, or grant access to third-party servers. You must own or otherwise be authorised to use all games, content, and services you access. We do not authorise piracy, account theft, or circumvention of access controls.

5. Third-party services and content

The Launcher can interact with services and content provided by others, including Microsoft, Xbox, Minecraft, Discord, Modrinth, CurseForge, mod authors, server operators, and log-sharing providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party availability, security, content, moderation, changes, or decisions.

Golems Launcher and LT1_Golem are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios, Microsoft, Discord, Modrinth, CurseForge, or their affiliates unless expressly stated.

6. Mods, files, servers, and user choices

Mods, modpacks, resource packs, shaders, Java runtimes, servers, and other downloadable content can change game behaviour and may contain defects or security risks. Review sources and permissions before installation, keep backups, and follow the applicable creator and server rules. You are responsible for the content you choose, import, upload, or share.

7. Updates and availability

We may update, suspend, change, or discontinue any part of the Launcher. Updates may be needed for security, compatibility, or continued operation. We do not promise that every Minecraft version, mod, account type, server, or third-party integration will always remain available or compatible.

8. Feedback

If you send ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment, provided we do not claim ownership of your pre-existing intellectual property.

9. Intellectual property

The Launcher’s original branding, interface, documentation, and other materials are owned by LT1_Golem or its licensors. Minecraft and other third-party names, marks, artwork, mods, and content belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership except the limited license expressly granted above.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Launcher is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LT1_Golem and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost data, profits, accounts, gameplay, or business opportunity arising from the Launcher or third-party content. Our total liability for claims relating to the Launcher will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Launcher in the 12 months before the claim or [LIABILITY CAP AND CURRENCY]. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using and uninstall the Launcher at any time. We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary to protect users or services, comply with law, respond to a serious breach, or discontinue the Launcher. Provisions intended by their nature to survive termination will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. We will post the updated version, change the “Last updated” date, and provide additional notice in the Launcher when required. Continued use after the new terms take effect means you accept them, except where law requires a different form of consent.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY/STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in [CITY, COUNTRY/STATE] will have jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer law may allow you to bring a claim elsewhere.

15. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a reorganisation, sale, or transfer of the Launcher, subject to applicable law. These terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement about the Launcher unless another written agreement applies.
