Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

The operator and data controller for the Launcher is LT1_Golem. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to harrypycharm@gmail.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Launcher and our related support communications. It does not govern third-party websites, games, servers, mods, or services. Those providers control their own data practices.

3. Information handled by the Launcher

Account information

If you sign in with Microsoft, the Launcher handles identifiers and credentials needed to authenticate with Microsoft, Xbox, and Minecraft, such as your Minecraft profile name, UUID, access token, and refresh token. These credentials are stored on your device so the Launcher can keep you signed in and launch the game. Microsoft receives information directly through its sign-in process.

If you create a local/offline account, the Launcher stores the username and locally generated account identifier you choose. A local account does not verify ownership with Microsoft or Minecraft.

Launcher and gameplay information

The Launcher stores settings, selected accounts, installed versions and content, instance paths, launch history, playtime statistics, screenshots, logs, and related metadata on your device so its features work.

Diagnostics

When crash reporting is enabled, diagnostic information may be sent to our crash-reporting provider. It may include error messages, stack traces, Launcher version, operating-system information, technical context, and IP address processed by the provider. Avoid placing personal information in file paths, profile names, or logs where possible. You can disable crash reporting in Launcher settings.

Information you choose to share

If you contact us, we handle the message, contact details, attachments, and related support history. If you choose the log-upload feature, the selected log is sent to the identified log-sharing provider and may become accessible through a shareable link.

4. How we use information

• to authenticate accounts and launch Minecraft;
• to save settings, manage installations, and provide requested Launcher features;
• to display optional Discord Rich Presence;
• to obtain versions, mods, metadata, updates, and other requested content;
• to diagnose crashes, secure the Launcher, prevent abuse, and improve reliability;
• to answer support requests and enforce our Terms of Service; and
• to comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use Launcher information for targeted advertising.

5. Legal bases

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our agreement to provide requested features; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving the Launcher; consent where requested, including for optional processing; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

6. Local storage and security

Most Launcher data is stored locally on your device. Anyone with access to your device or user account may be able to access it. Keep your operating system secured and do not share credential files. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Uninstalling the Launcher may not automatically remove its data folders. Use the Launcher’s storage controls or remove its application-data directory after backing up anything you want to keep.

7. Third-party recipients and services

Depending on the features you use, information or technical requests may be processed by:

• Microsoft, Xbox, and Minecraft for authentication, ownership checks, profiles, and game services;
• Modrinth, CurseForge, mod authors, and content hosts for searches, metadata, and downloads;
• Discord when Rich Presence is enabled, to display Launcher or gameplay activity;
• Sentry or our configured diagnostics provider when crash reporting is enabled;
• mclo.gs when you explicitly upload a game log; and
• infrastructure and update providers used to deliver Launcher configuration, terms, metadata, or releases.

These providers may receive your IP address, device/network metadata, request contents, account information, or uploaded files as needed for their service. Review their policies before enabling or using the relevant feature.

8. Discord Rich Presence

Rich Presence is enabled or disabled through Launcher settings. When enabled and Discord is running, the Launcher sends activity details to the local Discord client, which may display your Launcher status, Minecraft version, or gameplay state according to your Discord privacy settings.

9. Retention

Locally stored data remains until you delete it, remove an account, clear the applicable data, or uninstall and remove the Launcher’s data directory. Support records are kept for [SUPPORT RETENTION PERIOD]. Diagnostic events are kept for [DIAGNOSTIC RETENTION PERIOD]. We may retain limited records longer where necessary for security, disputes, or legal obligations.

10. International transfers

Third-party providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use or rely on recognised safeguards for international transfers. Contact us for information about safeguards applicable to processing we control.

11. Your choices and rights

You can disable crash reporting and Discord Rich Presence, remove saved accounts, delete local Launcher data, and choose whether to upload logs. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we control, and to withdraw consent.

Send a request to harrypycharm@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Rights can be limited by applicable law, and data held only on your device must generally be managed by you.

12. Children’s privacy

The Launcher is not directed to children below the minimum age for independent consent in their location. A parent or guardian should supervise use by minors and review the policies of Microsoft, Minecraft, Discord, mods, and servers. If you believe a child provided personal information directly to us without required permission, contact us.

13. Automated decisions

We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect Launcher, provider, or legal changes. We will post the revised policy, update the date above, and provide additional notice when required.
